About the Recipe

A hearty breakfast pairing a juicy, flavorful steak with perfectly fried eggs nestled right on top. Rich in protein and healthy fats, this classic meal sets the stage for a strong, energized day.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz breakfast steak (ribeye, sirloin, or strip steak recommended)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tablespoon butter or beef tallow (for cooking)

  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

Breakfast Steak:

  1. Season Steak: Season steak generously on both sides with sea salt and black pepper.

  2. Cook Steak: Heat butter or beef tallow in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (or adjust to preferred doneness).

Cooking Tip: Let the steak rest briefly (2-3 minutes) after cooking to retain juices.

Fried Eggs:

  1. Fry Eggs: In the same skillet used for the steak, lower heat to medium. Gently crack eggs into skillet, cooking until whites set and yolks reach desired doneness (2-3 minutes).

Cooking Tip: Cooking eggs in the same skillet captures the steak's flavorful drippings.

Plate & Serve: Place steak onto a plate and top immediately with fried eggs. Season lightly with additional salt and pepper, if desired.

  • Hot Sauce (clean, sugar-free): Add a splash of your favorite hot sauce for extra kick.

  • Steak Seasoning: Season steak before cooking with a blend of garlic powder, salt, and pepper for added depth.
